I saw the notice that DraftLogic Electrical completely supports NEC Demand Factor calculations as of the September 2010 release. Does this mean that the 'complex-and-somewhat-painful-to-calculate-myself' tiered Demand Factor found in NEC 220.42 is calculated automatically by DraftLogic Electrical?

Yes! The September 2010 release included completely automatic support for NEC demand factors in panel schedule footer calculations in addition to CEC diversities. NEC demand factor support includes the tiered demand factors applied as per NEC sections 220.42, 220.44, and 220.56.

The differing demand factor calculations are all supported as documented in the NEC.
